Life No Pets! No Kids! No New Chopper and definitely not leathers to go with it. Just living in the DC Metro where I always dreamed of living so I could go to all of the Redskin Football games. Though I have tried to get out of the education field, I have finally gotten out of public school education sort of. I am the Deputy Director for a Private Company that contracts with District of Columbia School. My company places Title I teachers in private schools in DC. I am currently dating and it is purty serious. The parents have been met. The only thing that I have concerns about is she has lived in DC for 19 years and does not plan to leave. With my job and love both here, it looks like I will be here for a long, long time. My only regret is that my children will not grow up as Texans and that I might not get to be buried in Texas since I want to be buried next to my wife. At least I will request that they leave my boots on. Anyways, I do love it on the East Coast with so much to see and do, but miss the Southern Hospitality and the egotistical TEXAS ATTITUDE of DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS! Maryland is for Crabs? Virgina is for Lovers? What kind of State Slogans are these? Oh, the traffic and crime up here is beyond ridiculous. That's my story for now. Updated October 20th P.S. It turned out it was and is purty serious. The wedding is 28 June 2008. Updated Feb 11, 2008 The wedding plans are coming along fine. Less than two months away or it is legal to say it is next month. I kind of like the next month. I am more than ready. She has been worth waiting for. 28 June is still the date! Updated May 6, 2008 The June 28th wedding went on without a hitch except for me getting hitched. Our 10 day honeymoon to Prince Edward Island of Anne of Green Gables fame was fabulous. Now we are both enjoying the "happily ever after" part which the fairy tale books describe in such detail especially the bureaucratic parts where the government...Expand for more
