Charles's Story
Since I involuntarily left Abbey in October 1971, I ended up in San Jose, CA (home of the lowrider) then SantaRosa, CA for 10 years, then Denver for a year in 1980/81, then to Austin, Tx for 5 years, then back to Denver - caught up with Schwietzer in 1987, then Danny Mabry in Steamboat in 1991, then got married, then back to Texas - this time San Antonio since 1993. Drove by Yebba in 1981 went into ullathorne hall all the mattresses were stained, place was pretty seedy.
Went up to Alvarado campground same winter and the lodge was still there but the roof on one end had broken open. Later in 1986 it was torn down and gone. One of my photos is of the valley looking across to those same mountains.
I go skiing in Colo. and Utah quite a bit. Give a shout if needing to reminisce. I think I can get email here.
