Charles's Story
After HS I joined the Marine Reserve, worked as a carpenter and became good at it. In 1985 I got married and moved to Frederick Maryland, While working on an addition I broke my back, needed to change careers and worked in the hospital as a surgical tech for 2 yrs. I got divorced with Nancy, and proceeded to start my own business as a carpenter, After a few years I got married to Meg and her daughter Eve. We had Muriel in 97. I was getting tired of carpentry and went back to college for drafting and worked for an architect for 1yr. A friend got me interested in Metrology (calibrating biotech equipment) and I've been doing that for 22 yrs. "Who thought I would be good at science" Hobbies: I'm a pilot, building a plane, working on a historic home/landmark from the Antietam campaign, a past Board member for the United Dems of Frederick County, Treasurer with Andrew Duck for congress, own an old farm house (1814) with 5 acres near Burkittsville MD and ...Expand for more
perform in a rock band occasionally, My wife is a Federal Judge and loves to garden , read and play with our grandson Gideon. Muriel works in biotech and was out in Arizona going to school at NAU. Hiking is her thing and has the best cat. Eve is living in Middletown MD and working for a app company doing conventions, she is married to Kenny and has a Gideon.
Meg is the best thing that ever happened to me, she has guided me through some tough times and always with a smile. Our thing is to travel (love Europe) kayaking, working on the property and enjoying each other. Northport was a fun place in my life, although I hate what I was in High School and I'm happier in what I'm doing today, due to the friends here in Maryland and past NY buds Terry O'Hare, Wally Sims (fellow Marine), Tim Arden, Mike O'Grady and other good folks back then. Life is good, looking foward to providing new adventures and being productive as I begin to mature "in a few years".
