I dropped out of Sunset half-way through my Junior year in 1972. I at least remember liking my English, French and Algebra classes, but my memory is too fuzzy to remember much more. I came to Sunset from Meadow Park Jr. High, where I enrolled in 9th grade when my father was transferred to Portland in 1969. When I dropped out of Sunset high, I moved back to Los Angeles, and joined the Navy at 17, and served 3 1/2 years in Hawaii (after boot camp and technical training to be a diesel mechanic). I finished high school there, graduating from St. Louis High School in Honolulu, in December 1973. Got out of the Navy and remained in Hawaii for another 4 years, then moved to San Diego. I re-joined the Navy and went to Italy for a year, then a ship in Virginia, and another ship in San Diego, getting discharged at the end of 1985.
