Charles Carroll:  

Life After finishing high school in 1962, I enlisted in the Army and after training I was stationed in Augsburg and then Munich Germany serving as a Military Policeman and on the staff of a General Officer. In the fall of 1965 I was sent to Vietnam and served as a Military Police Security Specialist and as a helicopter door gunner in the Saigon and Bien Hoa area. I returned to the states in November of 1966 and was stationed at Ft Sheridan, Il again as a Military Policeman. In April 1967 I departed active military duty and was transfered to the Army Reserve. I returned to Michigan, was married and lived in Greenville. While living in Greenville my wife Barbara and I had our first son (Christopher) in September of 1968. In case you don't remember that was the year the TIGERS with McClain and Lolich pitching beat St Louis for the World Series. GREAT YEAR!! In August of 1971 my lust for adventure got the best of me again and I enlisted again. This time in the Air Force.
