First let me tell all of those who may visit my story...I want to say that I had no real intention of joining this site. That is until I saw the names of my fellow classmates. I must say that seeing so many names was an incredible rush. It was at that moment that I decided to join this site with the chance to maybe re-connect with some of my fellow classmates or to at least take a peek and see what many of you all have been up to since graduating from Ballou. Go Knights! Here's an update on what I have been doing for the past 23 years since graduation. Has it really been that long - 23 years? After graduation I attended Lincoln Tech Automotive School. I got very sick while attending school. Left the school after deciding that turning wrenches wasn't what I really wanted to do. I then began working at Marlo Furniture in Forestville, MD. I worked there for several months learning how to drive and operate the lifts used throughout the warehouse. Myself and a co-worker were responsible for filling customer orders. This required us to have to take a lift into the warehouse, locate the items that matched the customers order, wrestle it onto the lift, and return it to the customer pick-up area, and then load it into their truck or car. Before you get good at operating the lift, you must go through that awkward learning stage better known as crashing into a lot of stuff. I did my fair share of crashing but I never hit any customers. Okay okay I'll admit I came close to hitting some customers. Is it my fault that Marlo at that time allowed its customers to walk through a porton of the warehouse? Well I moved on from Marlo and began working at Pearle Vision Center at Hechinger Mall in northeast D.C. I wokred there for a total of 9-months.
