Charles's Story
After graduation I got my BSChemE from Clarkson College in Potsdam, NY. My first job was with Stauffer Chemical in Monongahela, PA and 1 year later was transferred to Mobile, AL where I met and married Margie Lancaster in 1977. Later that year I transferred to Edison, NJ. 5 years later I took a job wth BASF in Kearney, NJ. When that plant closed in 1989, I was transferred to Freeport, TX. ook a job with Wyeth Vaccines in Sanford, NC in 2005. Wyeth was acquired by Pfizer in 2009, and I retired in 2019. Margie and I had one daughter who married and raised two boys and lives in Florida. Unfortunately, Margie died on December 23, 2019 after 43 years of putting up with me. She should have been a Saint for that alone.
I have been given the opportunity to go back to work part time as a contractor at my last job, and have agreed to for the duration of a very hot project, and have accepted it. Things are a bit too quiet here by myself right now.
