Charles's Story
Hey, folks from RV:
Here's some of my story. After a few false starts at this thing called life, I ended up here in the San Diego area. I've lived here for 32 years, been happily married (yes, to the same woman!)for 31 yrs. I have 5 kids and 4 grandkids. I'm an elementary school teacher (Special and Regular Ed.) I have a BA from San Diego State University (English), and a master's degree in Special Education from National Univ.
I love to read and write. I used to be an avid runner, but a back injury ended those days. Now I bike and walk. I'm a little heavier than my high school days (about 185), but I'm in pretty good shape; I manage to stay active.
I'm still a die-hard Cubbies fan (maybe they'll win a series before I die), and I'm also a staunch Chargers fan. I hope this is the year! I love living here in the San Diego area; I'm in a little area of the community called Bonita (it's Spanish for beautiful)where the horses are plenty...Expand for more
and the men are glad.
I listen to all kinds of music when I can, but I'm still a Black Sabbath fan(go figure; however, if the truth be known, most of the time I listen to National Public Radio these days (geez, talk about getting old and boring!)
I was recently diagnosed with Prostate Cancer, but they caught it early and the prognosis is good. I'm scheduled to have surgery soon. If anyone else out there from our days has been through this, please write me; I'd like to hear how you got through it.
I'm really interested in hearing from anyone who remembers me, or who just wants to tell me to go to
Hell; whatever you choose - it's all good.
I hope to hear from some of you. This internet stuff is pretty neat, huh? When we were in school our high tech was an electric typewriter!
Well, that's enough from me for now; anything else at this time would probably be a lie, so I'll say "bye".
