Charles 's Story

I attended DePaul University in Chicago (BA), lived in London, in Johannesburg, South Africa (where I earned an MA), in Chicago (again), and in Charleston, S.C. (never again). I now reside in New York City. I married, raised two sons and divorced. I remarried three years ago and all is wonderfully well. I worked as a news reporter, an editor and as a television news and documentary field producer for most of those years. Now, I am an independent researcher and editor and a volunteer for the New York Central Park Conservancy. As often as possible, I attend economic and foreign policy conferences at Columbia University and New York University and see as many performances of the Met Opera as I can manage. ition of 1959-60 as a freshman. My family moved to the East Coast after that year. Although I objected, I was compelled to go out of economic need and because I was a minor. (I suspect my father might have considered abandoning me or turning me over to nearby relatives.) I came to Camden from Cambrian School in Campbell (remember Mr. Owen) and Farnham School (remember Mr. Meeks). I don't remember the name of the principal at Farnham, but I recall that he threatened to suspend me because I once wouldn't finish eating the horrible cafeteria peanut butter sandwiches made with (sometimes rancid) sugared butter. My search in Classmates is mostly about finding childhood friends with whom I lost contact quickly and seemingly forever in those years long before Internet connections.

I spent a few hours at the Royal Horse Jazz Club in Osaka, Japan last night with friends. The all-Japanese quartet was exceptionally talented.

I'm off to vote for Hillary. I'm told that the lines are long at Manhattan polling stations.
NYC is a stronghold for Hillary but the NY Police Department is out in force in case "Trumpkins" attempt any nonsense. Actually
