Charles's Story

Let's see, I left for the Navy right after high school and began a career jumping out of various helicopters performing search and rescue. I blew out my knee during one of the jumps and that ended my career. Shortly after, I moved to Denver Colorado where I worked for Department of Energy where I dismantled weapons for long term storage. After the plant site was closed down I moved on to being a police officer for the city of Colorado Springs. I was involved in a shooting that made me rethink my activities and I decided to settle down and concentrate on my family. I now have three active boys who love to wrestle, run, ride bikes and everything my ...Expand for more
wife and I love to do. I still live in Colorado Springs, Colorado and I just left the police department in order to follow my degree in ministry. I must say that it is odd to transition from taking down bad guys and then seeing the same people for counseling sessions. My wife is also changing her career and becoming a school teacher. I am very proud of her. She has put up with my insane jobs and is very pleased to see me behind a desk. I must admit that I am slowing down as some of my previous injuries are catching up but I still remain active. Life is good and I do miss those faces from high school. Take care and I hope to hear from you soon.
