Lake (71-73), Kit Carson (73-74), Orr Jr. High (74-76), and Valley High School (76-80). My class was 1980, but I actually withdrew midway though Sophmore year (78) and also in 1979 at the beginning of senior year (due in part to pressure from ADMIN over RJ newspaper story regarding underground paper and the small conspiracy that followed when we tried to publish the story in Thor's Hammer). However, I still consider 1980 my class year, and all of my memories, friends, and associates were at Valley during the years 1976-1980. I was in the stoner crowd a bit, ditched a lot, and got sidetracked a bit, but I didn't really look the part of a stoner so much and few suspected. I'm kinda intellectual, from an intellectual fam, and teetered on either getting A's or F's it seemed. The 70's....... I wish there was more former students using the classmates services, I finally just PAID to get 'gold' here so I could have a little more access, etc.. I have a lot of memories of those times, and though I may not be so well known or easily remembered, I remember names and fellow students from all my years in school quite well. My sister Jessica gaduated from Valley in 1988, I believe. I have seen that a quite a few of my friends and associates have passed on, and that has been quite shocking. Some of them never made it through VHS all the way either, but they were all kids just like us nevertheless, and are prolly thought of by the rest of us at times. I feel darn lucky to be around, and I've had an interesting life, IMHO. Quickly, I owned my own biz in vegas for a number of years, and then moved to Eugene, Oregon in late 1994. I attended UNLV for a bit before moving up here to go to school as an older student (32!) at the U of Oregon. Anyway, I have two great children, and many fond and funny memories of the past, and I hope some of you may read this and possibly make a contact. ANYONE UP HERE IN OREGON LIKE ME? ----------------------------------------------------- FRIENDS that I wish I knew where they were, etc...: Not all close friends, or even one's that might remember me, etc..., but I think of them as classmates and people I did associate with over the years.... I have had some contact and do know where a few of them are (I think). Not all went to Valley. Some are a bit older, some younger, and some are just kids I met or new or had experiences with regardless of what school attended. I wish that other CLASS OF 80 folks would find this particular community/board, it would be better for all of us than searching the main boards through all of the years. Maybe few have stumbled into this community/group as of yet, or don't notice its existence, or have failed to add it to their account.
