Charles's Story
Hello - - You probably remember after graduation I was working for the local Winn-Dixie. In 1965 I was drafted into the USMC. Retired in 1985 as a GySgt (E-7). During my tenure in the Corps, I spent 17 months in Vietnam, was 10th of the Top 10 Recruiter's in the Nation, been to Vietnam, Thailand, Japan, Okinawa, Philippines, Guam, Puerto Rico and South Korea.
Married for the last 35 years to a wonderful lady that has helped me through the thick and thins of life. Would not be here today if it was not for her behind me all the way. No children.
Dabbled in the Finance Field for afew year and locked on with a job with the NC Dept of Corrections. Started out as a Corrections Officer and retired as a Food Service Supervisor.
Soon after, I was diagnosed by the VA with a severe case of PTSD that I had been hiding for years and didn't realize it! Also, while in Nam, was exposed to Agent Orange and have acquir...Expand for more

I am now 100% disabled. I am into Volunteer work for my God, the Church, DAV, American Legion, Vietnam Veteran's of America, Veteran's of Foreign Wars.
I would love to hear from everyone and tell me all the accomplishments you have obtained in life.
Would also like everyone to know that God has forgiven me for all the misdeeds, etc., I have done not only to myself, but too others as well.
Bottom line is, God has forgiven me and now I want to get my past right. I know I have hurt some of you and I am asking from the bottom of my heart for your forgiveness. If I have done you wrong, let me know and let's get it right. Fair enough?
Thank God everyday for all the things he has bestowed upon us and thank him everyday for giving you one more day to enjoy it.
