Charles's Story
After Graduation I attended Vincennes University to receive my Associates degree in Broadcast Journalism. I worked in Radio for about 1 year in Madison Indiana, then moved back to Portland where I worked at the Moose Lodge, then the Berne Shell station before joining the Army in 1983. I served 3 years at Ft. Myer VA. (home of the Tomb of the Unknow Soldier) next to Washington D.C. as a Broadcast Narrator. After my military stint I once again moved back to Portland, worked in construction for a few months as well as joining the National Guard for a year, then moved on to JCI in Portland (6 months)...EPC in...Expand for more
Geneva (2 1/2 years) and then to Jay Products in Portland where I worked for 13 years in nearly every capicity. In 2001 I went back to school through John Jay in Portland to receive my Bachelors of Science in Business Management in 2003 and am now employed at Formerly Meshberger Brothers Stone Quarry (now US Aggregates, where I have an office in charge of railcar transportation. I married Janet Keys from Geneve in 1984 and at present have 4 children and 10 grandchildren and one on the way. I'm a Pastor and Bible Teacher at New Covenant Fellowship church in Collet IN about 4 1/2 miles south of Portland.
