Life
I was a PHD dropout at SUNY Albany. I went to work for New York State and worked for the Division of the Budget for twenty years. In January 2001 I joined the Governor's staff and worked on the 9-11 response and resulting security issues -- scary, isn't it? Then I became a Deputy Commissioner at the Office of General Services. became Governor, I went back to my Budget job and retired in 2009. Now I'm an Adjunct Professor at Marist College and am writing a book about the World War II.
On the personal front, I married early and divorced in 1988 or so. I remarried in 1992. I have three grown children by the first marriage, two sons by the second, and three grandchildren.
