Charles's Story
Just a little bio,born and raised in Washington,D.C. (our Nations capital)with six siblings (3 brothers & 3 sisters) myself being the second oldest.My Mom and Dad (Joyce Marie Mattison & Charles Otis Watkins -deceased) married at an early age(16 & 19 respectively).We lived in various areas of the Northeast side of DC.I can only recall the ones from age seven until age nineteen,Starting with 1124 E.Street/928 Maryland Avenue/654 Massachusett Avenue/651 16th Street/& 718 13th Street,we lived with our Grandmother and one of our Great Aunt & Uncle for a brief period of time.The schools that I can remember attending were as follows:Lovejoy Elem./Anne M. ted from High School in 1977,Enlisted in the US Army in August.1977(switched over to US Army Reserve),attended Lincoln Technical Institute in 1978,married in 1979 to Esther Jane Hayes (became Father to four sons-Adrian,Oluropo,Kenyatta & Ndage),now a Grandfather presently to four boys and two girls-Courtney D.J. is Papa's heart.Moved to Greensboro,NC in April,1994.Starting Pastoring in 1999 with my wife Back To Basics Christian Outreach Ministry (currently in transition).I'm doing what I call the Apostle Paul vocation,ie Pastor/HVAC Technician.My faith is built on nothing less then Jesus' blood and righteousness.Standing on the Promises of God.I'm rich,healed and I'm free.That's about it in a nut shell.
