The baby is not mine. You can all breathe a sigh of relief. The man on the left is my partner. We have a summer home in Ft Myers Beach, FL where this picture with the stolen baby was taken. I am the one on the right. Don't roll your eyes at me, Stan Sbei. Or was it Esteban when Mrs. Reiss had us?
I remember that I all of you were nice to me.
I retired last year from teaching high school English. Is anyone surprised? I live in Ft Lauderdale, FL with my partner of 35 years. (Is anyone surprised?) I have loved teaching, and now I am loving being back in the world again. All of you who knew me: our world at Upper Merion made me what I am today. ent to STA. So did Billy Crudup the actor and Micheal Connelly the novelist. But I liked my own high school experience better than the one at this charmed place.
I just wanted to say that. My memories are treasures that I hold close. Some of you were stranger than even I was. Some were much smarter. Some were more talented. Everyone was much more athletic. But all of you passed through a childhood in King of Prussia with me at a particularly interesting time. And I can recall almost every moment of times with you. OK, not really. But I remember more than we would all want me to remember. And that's a good thing.
By the way, Charita Thomas, you never paid me for being your campaign manager in 8th grade. That's OK, though. There's no telling how much I owe Karen Straub for mooching lunch money every day. What's interest for 42 years on $17.53?
