Life has been pretty interesting since 1962. I stayed in San Antonio until the Fall Semester 1969 when I went to San Marcos and Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State). Before that, I served in the Marine Corps and received an AA degree from San Antonio College and had fun. One of my most enjoyable experiences was playing baseball for the Alamo City All Stars team with Henry Henke and Mike Behnsch from Harlandale. We were a very good amateur baseball team and I pitched on that team. A year or so later I played for the San Antonio Owls in the old Cosmopolitan League and had the "pleasure" of Rudy Casanova (Harlandale) hitting a home run off me. I graduated from SWTSU in 1972, then received an MPA from SWTSU in 1974. I played baseball for a team from Kyle, Texas that had players from the Southwest Texas State University baseball team and I made the Hill Country All Star baseball team as a third baseman (I was no Henry Henke or Rudy Casanova, but I did OK).
