Charles's Story
Life
Moved to Fla in 1953, lived in South Dayton then in 1956 I moved to Ormond Beach and ran around with two of the Seabreeze High School basket ball players (Sam Butler and Duncan Dowling). I graduated from Mainland High School in 1958. I was a member of the Glee Club Traveling Squad. I dated and married Georgia Kay November 23, 1964. We had a boy one-year later (Douglas Scott). My first job was with the Daytona Beach Police Department where my objective was to use my F.S.U. accounting background and two years experience to obtain a job with the F.B.I. After this disappointment(asthma). I was hired by GE in their Financial Management Training Program (FMP) Financial Management program. I worked in Daytona Beach as an account for 6 years. vision in Cicero, Ill. While in Chicago my wife gave birth to a girl, Christina Lynn Craig. Hated weather,we moved back to Daytona Beachin 1972. Joined Southern Bell, Georgia and I divorced in 1972. Lived in Daytona until 1976. In June 1976 I married Melanie Norton, an Orange County school principle, who had one six year old boy, Michael. I interview and was hired by Southern Bell Telephone as a Major Account Executive and Data consultant. I Left Southern Bell in 1980 to form my own Computer Consulting Company. As a Certified Novell Engineer (CNE) network consultant, after 20 years with my own company and some employees, I retired. I have three children are now 32,34 & 39 with 4 grandchildren (Tara, Ashley and Shawn 3, Dalton 5months. Tina is married to Charlie Crane. They live in Port Orange, FL.
I've been retired since 1998.
