Charles's Story
Uncle Sam made me leave Cincinnatus, NY in 1948 and sent me to Texas. Having been
stationed here for several years and enjoying the open
Paries and the great weather I
turned down the opertunity that my Mom and Dad gave me when they called and said, "Charles we want to sell the farm and move into a
small town but we will ...Expand for more
not sell if you want the farm."
After thinking for about 1/4 of a minute I said, "Sell It". As a young man I had to shovel the heavy snows and milk, by hand,12 cows each end of the day. (7 days each week)
In Texas, no snow and no milk cows so I sure would not leave this wonderful country.
I have been here for 60 years.
