Charles's Story
Upon graduation from GW High School in 1962, I went to work at Hodges Storage Corporation where I worked my way up to Office Manager. While working at Hodges Storage, I attended Strayer Jr. College at night. Subsequently, I attended Strayer during the day and worked at the CPA firm of Matthews, Menefee and Carter. Upon graduation from Strayer, I went to work for the CPA firm of Lorenz & Lorenz. I passed the CPA exam in 1968 at age 23 and became the youngest partner in the oldest CPA firm in the District of Columbia. After working at Lorenz & Lorenz for 14 years, I retired in 1979 at the age of 35. From 1981 to 1995, I was the principal in the CPA firm of Rogers & Company. ess I started in 1975 which had grown to the point where it no longer served as a tax shelter but had, in fact, became a successful enterprise know as the National Sportsman Association. Presently, I over see the Sportsman's Group which is comprised of the National Sportsman Association, the American Sportsman Association, National Sportsman, Inc. and the United Sportsman Association. My wife Eleanor and I reside at Frog Pond in Prince William County with two Toy Fox Terriers and one Rat Terrier. One Son Charles, Jr. resides on a farm in Carrol County, VA, one son Darrin resides in Springfield and my youngest son, Shane resides in Woodbridge. My grandson, Charles 111, is attending college in Newport News, VA and my two grand daughers, Morgan and Kendall reside with their parents Darrin and Jodie in Springfield, VA
