Life I am married and retired. My wonderful wife (Donna) and I now live in Blaine, WA which is about (1/4) mile from the Canadian border. I have (5) grown children and (4) grandchildren. I also have Common Variable Immune Deficiency (CVID) and receive IV Infusion treatments every three weeks for this disease to help me resist infection. Wiith CVID, I have no immunity to bacterial infections ranging from diptheria, to polio to tetanus. Pneumonia is a large problem and a MRSA (Staph) lung infection nearly killed me with toxic shock and organ failures three times earlier this year. The MRSA infection destoyed much lung tissue and caused a condition in my lungs called Bronchiectasis which is fatal for 40% of people who have it per year. I have had it more than a year. This disease is not curable. My children and grandchildren are my greatest asset. My youngest son has a BA from Tufts Univ. and has (JD) from Univ. of Pennsylvania. He clerks for a Federal Judge. My oldest daughter has a PhD from Univ. of Oregon and is a professor of Anthropology at Appalachian State Univ. She is married and has (2) sons. My youngest daughter graduated from Cornell Univ.
