Charlotte Brown's Story
Charlotte is from Durham, North Carolina. I was raised in the East Durham communities near Briggs Avenue and Angier Avenue. Charlotte's schools include St. Joseph K-1st grade, Burton Elementary, Shepard, Hillside High School and later attended Durham Technical College. Charlotte works(ed) at Grady Health System in Atlanta and Duke University in Durham.

In 1980 I married the love of my life Larry K. Scarlett. We were blessed with a beautiful daughter and handsome son. In 1997 I was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer. This journey changed my relationship with God, taught me not to sweat the small stuff, what's important and setting priorities.
One of Charlotte's favorite quotes is:"When God leads you to the edge of the cliff, trust Him fully and let go, only 1 of 2 things will happen, either He'll catch you when you fall, or He'll teach you how to fly!"".
