Charlotte's Story
Life
During the years since graduating from EAWRCHS, I have gone to college (SIUE), worked as a teacher in Granite City and St Louis, quit that job. Got married and had two sons (one is 28 and living in New York City; the other just returned from a stint in Benin Africa as a Peace Corps volunteer).
Then I talked trash for a few years as a sales rep for a couple of waste companies; talked sex as VP of Communications and Development for Planned Parenthood; and ended up in a mental health facility as Exec for a Mental Health Association. All these were in Peoria IL. All were interesting and rewarding positions.
I am now living in what many people call "paradise" -- Naples Florida. Paradise I'm not too sure -- I miss central Illinois and rolling hills ...Expand for more
and different seasons. But nice and warm with one of the ten highest ranked beaches in the world and year-round warm. That is hard to beat.
For the past several years I have been taking classes learning to be a metalsmith. I LOVE it! I design and create art jewelry that I sell at art shows. If you are ever in Naples Florida during tourist season, check out the art shows. You just may see me!
It has been an interesting life. Since my kids have lived in some interesting places, I have visited England, Scotland, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Benin Africa to see them. I have also been a member of a delgation to China to meet with Mental Health professionals there.
I'm still married to the same man I married 43 years ago and it keeps getting better.
