Charmaine's Story

Seems hard to believe that 25 years has come and gone. Life has certainly been exciting and busy. My husband David and I have been married since November of 1986. We bought a house in 1988 a block away from where I grew up in Deerfield, New York. Our first son Kevin was born in 1990 . Kevin is a junior in Whitesboro High School and is a school soccer player. Matthew was born in 1995 and is in 6th grade at the Parkway. He is also a soccer player, and can't wait to play for the school next year. Both boys currently play indoor soccer. I've had my own business since 1989 and it has kept me quite busy. For 11 years I was very involved with the boys at Deerfield School and their PTA. Now that they are getting older, I've found other things to focus my time on. I've been te...Expand for more
aching confirmation one to students for three years and to 8th grade one year previous to that. In 2005, I got involved in the Missing Children's Ride. I focus a lot of time on helping this wonderful cause. Have to say, I am in far better shape now that I am older and firmly believe that life begins at 40. I put on at least 2000 miles on my road bikes a season, and this year I have committed to doing a century ride in Long Island in June. My interests include, attending my son's events, teaching confimation, reading, cooking/baking, spinning, walking and cycling. I've had to endure the loss of my best friend in August of 2006, which still pains me, but know that life has to go on and that life is indeed good. I look forward to reconnecting with former classmates in July.
