Chas's Story
Hello All,
How is all are and how has all been. It has been many years since I have seen alot of people that I went to school with and I hope to see more of you all here. I have been doing really good. I have been working since high school and still work from my heart as I always have and always will. I have diabetes and does that ever change ones life as many people have this and I feel for all who have it. I somewhat have it managed. I knew I had it many years but there was a time I really wasn't taking care of myself and in 2004, I was in bad shape medically. I was told back then after a physical that I had several heart attacks and if I contacted the flu, it could be fatal. I had a stress test and I was told that I have cardiomyopathy. Now here it is 2009, I am in the best shape medically in my life. My doctor said to me my last physical, you are really taking good care of yourself and I said no. Ha Ha He was realy surprized for my blood work, all but my sugar level, was perfect. I told him I do not eat like a diabetic but I eat within reason. My heart is beating normal again and I feel so much better, not that I was feeling bad for I was on my feet atleast 20 hours a day, working my tail off. I was surprized I got that news from the doctor. Enough of this. Ha Ha I still get around pretty good for and older guy. I still ...Expand for more
have A.D.D. but back when it was discovered, they only knew that I wasn't paying attention and this day and age it is a disorder, but I manage. Those who have this now of days are blessed with treatment and such and they now know and understand full well what it is. I am doing good, alittle hard concentrating on more then one thing at a time but I am doing as well as could be expected. I have not changed much still wanting to touch at least one heart a day. My heart has always been there for another needing heart. I still love and respect those for whom they are. Other then work, I have been married for 29 years (poor girl) and still do not feel married. I have been going to the hagerstown speedway since 1964 and for the last 5 years I have been helping run the track in to prepare the track for the racers. I wished I would have done this sooner in life but that A.D.D. thing kept me from alot of things in life and I feel I have missed alot of years but I went into being a part of the track crew whole hearted. I love helping and being a part of that still. I knew the girl I married all my life, 51 years, and still going to the speedway. Life is good. Well enough of this. Ha Ha I hope to see more people on here as I have not seen many of those whom I shared the days with in school. Take care all and thank you for your time.
