Chelle's Story

Life is pretty good. Michael and I got married in 1987. Marrying Michael is probably the best thing I have ever done. We are even happier now than we were then. We have 3 boys: Hunter, 18; Mikhail, 17; and Cole who is 11. Hunter and Mikhail will graduate from Brookwood High School in May 2008, and Cole will start middle school this fall. Hunter has been playing football since he was 6. He is a defensive tackle (he's 6'3" and weighs in at around 290 lbs.) He has worked very hard and his work paid off - he received a full ride to Charleston Southern to play football for them. Mikhail is the newest addition to our family. He became ours 3 years ago. We went through all of the fun stuff to apply to the Merchant Marine Academy (it is the same process as West Point or Anapolis), and we just found out this week that he was accepted, so after graduation, he will be heading to Long Island, NY for college. Cole, well, what do you say about him. He is probably the smartest of the 3 boys, and I'm guessing that is any of them were to take over the world, it would be him. He has also been playing football since he was 6, but it is still undecided if he is going to have the love for the game that Hunter has. Michael and his business partner st...Expand for more
arted a telecommunications company 3 or 4 years ago, and it has been wonderful. We started another company in PA 2 years ago, and this past winter, we started the 3rd telecommunications company in the Turks and Caicos Islands. I thought this would mean that I would get to go to the beach more, but I was sadly mistaken! God has really blessed us and the companies these past years. We live in Lawrenceville, so I don't get over to Marietta that often anymore. Whenever I do, the changes always amaze me. I was recently at a service at Mt. Paran North (it was MCS before Mt. Paran bought it.) and I was annoying everyone with my nostalgic memories. I guess the best (and worse) part of my life right now is that all 3 boys have a lot of friends and apparently, my job is to insure that they and all of their friends have a place to hang out. I guess we have anywhere from 3 to 7 people extra EVERY night for dinner. Honestly, as much as I'm going to miss them all when they graduate and leave for college, I can't wait to have peace and quiet at my house every night. I think of so many of you quite often, and I know that I was blessed to know you. Thanks for great high school memories (well, most of them were great! Some of them were just plain weird!)
