Life After MAC, I attended the Univ. of TX Health Science Center where I graduated from the School of Nursing, then the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences with a Master's degree. I began my career as an ICU/Trauma nurse & clinical educator at the Medical Center in San Antonio. I met my husband while attending an Anatomy class at the Medical School. After medical school, we moved to North Texas for his residency and began our family. I worked as a Clinical Specialist for 2 hospitals there and began a second career as a Fashion & Image Consultant with a dept. store chain in North Texas. After residency & a year of private practice we moved to Houston, where my husband joined the faculty of the UT Medical School Family Practice Residency program. We had child # 3 and I worked part-time at an outpatient surgery center & an emergency dept., then began a small business as an Image Consultant. Four years later, we moved to Wash, DC area where my husband began a new career as a doctor with the US State Department. A year later we began travelling overseas as diplomats w/ the US Embassy. We have since lived on all the (habitable) continents beginning with East Africa (Tanzania), then South America (Argentina), followed by Australia, India, Singapore, Budapest, Hungary, Athens, Greece and finally, London, UK. We have enjoyed travelling the globe, meeting many interesting and high profile people, and discovering and trying new things.
