I don't pretend to be someone I'm not,, because I'm good at being me. I might not be proud of the things I've done in the past, but I'm proud of who I am today. I may not be perfect but I don't need to be. Take me as I am or watch me walk away.
In the end, we only regret the chances that we did not take.
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.".

imately 10 yeas ago I was involved in a severe car accident with a subsequent fall down a flight of stairs in my home shortly thereafter which left me wheelchair bound due to severe head Injury snd multiple severe arm and leg fractures resulting in permanent rod placements. I am able to walk using a Rollator style walker for short distances now. Otherwise, I use a powerchair or manual wheelchair to get around. I remain in excellent health otherwise, but I have been forced to live in a health care facillity ever since because I lost my home (apartment) while in the hospital for an extended period of time for numerous surgeries & rehabilitations . While I was suffering from the traumatic brain injuries, my mother and my daughter somehow were able to obtain power of attorney and legal guardianship over me. They have not helped me to find a new home, and since they give this place my entire monthly social security income, i I've been unable to do amything about it. All of this is simply because I lost the ability to walk without assistance due to the brain injury.".
