Cherie's Story
Life
I'm married, and have one son. We live in southern Oregon, and my son lives in the Portland Or. area.
I manage the County Surveyor's Office as Sen. Dept.Specialist and Archivist. It's quite interesting, a lot of history behide these maps. Have to wear white cotton gloves half of the day handling maps from the 1900's.
As for home, well I'm always busy with the animals, fire wood and yard work. I have a Rott-Boxer, 3 house cats, 4 fox, and this year who knows how many Raccoons (last year we had at lest 30) just depends on who has how many babies....I just love them...they knock on the front door when they want fed..a couple follow me around while feeding the dog just incase I drop some of her food...then they race around to the front of the house knowing that their food will be coming out soon.
My son Jason comes home about every 4 weeks...when he needs som...Expand for more

We love to camp, and the meteor shower in August is a big deal trip.2010 Not sure yet where we will go to watch the meteor shower. maybe up by mt. Hood and clackamas lake, or loon lake in s/w oregon. 2009 ike and I went to Boxes Cayon in the Williamette Nat. Foreststayed in in the ranger guard station. 2007 we went to the Warner Mts. and stayed at a look out station and watch the stars from there. 2008 we went to La Pine Oregon to watch the stars. We also visited Newberry Caldera National monument, climbed up obsidian flow, down to waterfalls and then drove up on top of Paulina Peak...you could see Mt Bachlor, Broken top the Three Sisters, Mt Hood and Mt. Baker. All of which my son Jason has climbed this year. Now he is working on The ones in Washington State. Some day he'll be calling and saying he's climbing Everest. So thats what is happening with us.
