Life
Hi everyone! Thought you'd like to know a little about what I've been up to. I am currently a Social Worker. I spent 15 years doing therapy with children, teens, and families at various agencies. For the last 10 years, I have been the International Adoption Coordinator for Lutheran Child and Family Services of Illinois.
I have been married for 24 years to David Das and we have two children. Rachel is now 18 and Becca is now 14. We adopted both our daughters; Rachel from India when she was 13 months old and Becca from Peru when she was an infant. I also have a step-son, Daniel, who...Expand for more
was only 5 years old when David and I married, so we are very close. Daniel is married and we have a 4 year old granddaughter named Chloe. We do have a dog that we rescued from a shelter. she is now 9 years old and is part Sheltie and part Australian Shepard.
I have enjoyed camping with my family over the years and our favorite spot to camp is Turkey Run State Park in Indiana. I have been involved with Hands Around The World for 15 years. I am on their Board and have written curriculum and taught at their Culture Camps for children who were adopted internationally and/or transracially.
