Life
I will be remembered(if at all) as the eternal Girl Scout and object of interminable ribbing by Mr.Crockett who insisted in calling me Cherry.(We later became fellow teachers in Wetumpka and friends).I graduated from AUM in 1973 in special education(following a classmate who swept my heart away two weeks before I was to marry my school sweetheart. e sweetheart and yes,married the heart sweeper.22 years later we are both retired sp.ed teachers with three children, 2 beautiful grandchildren and new careers in different agencies which provide services and homes for disabled adults-other than the grandchildren that is my favorite topic.I am assistant director of the Smith Center,an ARC in Prattville-a program that I am very proud of! I would love to hear from old friends and new ones too!
