Cherrie's Story
After graduating from Cortez, I attended ASU on an academic Scholarship. I majored in Psychology, minored in Anthropology and had an Honors in English. My intent was to practice Psychology (with Carol Jones as my nurse) but wound up in the insurance industry: 8 years on the company side as a commercial underwriter; the rest on the agency side. I've been a commissioned producer "forever". I married; had a son, Brian; divorced after 3 years; married the same man again after a 5 year hiatus for bad behaviour; divorced the same man again after almost 8 years. Not going there ever again !!! Had a 10 year relationship; am currently in a 13+ year relationship. My son, Brian, lives in Hawaii on the island of O'ahu. He's the proud owner of Masonry Systems Hawaii and is much sought after for his strong...Expand for more
work ethic and creative mind. Unfortunately he's never married (The wrong women always seem to find him) which means I don't have any grandchildren. When I sell my book of business and retire in the next 5 years, I'll most likely spend winters in Phoenix; summers in Hawaii until I'm too feeble to care for myself and then I'll sell everything in Phoenix and move to Hawaii permanently. Due to my heavy involvement in many insurance industry organizations as well as non-profit and for-profit organizations, I've had the pleasure of traveling all over the US, Canada and Europe the past 30 years. It's always nice to come "home". There's only one goal left on my "wish list" ... to run for political office....which I hope to fulfil within the next 2-5 years. Other than that ... Life is Good !!!!
