Cherryl's Story
This could take a while.
I always wanted to be a Wife and Mother when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was an uninspired idea. As it turns out, they were half right!.
Lived in Thorpe Hall at RIC. I'll never forget the fun in Suite P!
Most people that knew me probably remember Butch - my 1st husband. We were married in 1966 and divorced in 1981. We had 2 boys - 1 lives in Virginia Beach and the other is here with me in Utah. I have 7 grandchildren.
In 1983 I married John and separated in 1988. Divorced in 1994 - I think. We had no children.
In 1997 I married Karl. He passed away in 2003 from sickle cell disease. We had no children.
My first job was at Weekapaug Beach, where I got paid $50/week to clean.. What I remember most about it is the owner thought I was too young to do most of the work so the butler had to do it. I didn't tell her I did all that and more at home..
I was a manager at Marshalls in New London for 11 years. Then I worked in the Holiday Inn call center in Utah in Guest Relations for 11 years. I worked as a Coordinator in the Verizon Wireless call center in Utah fo...Expand for more
r 4 1/2 years. I will be working for H & R Block 12/2010. Right now I'm a happy, well paid unemployment statistic.
I moved in with my Mom 4 years ago because she couldn't live alone. She passed away 7/30/2009 at the age of 95. Her life was full and happy to the end.
Living alone now. Miss Mom, but otherwise being able to do anything you want when you want is so much FUN(my favorite word). If I could improve my home, I'd remodel nothing and add on a storage shed. My dream home would be this one..
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Bill Blair, because I'd like to see if he's still handsome. lol
If I won $100 million, I'd give $50 million of it to charity, then spend the rest on family, friends and travel..
My current age is 63. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be DEAD. I was so completely naive. In 10 years, I hope to be alive!. I'm going to get there by taking care of myself!.
So now, in 2010, I haven't changed much from High School. Growing up just doesn't sound like FUN!
I now have 2 baby kittens - Mickey and Moe! They are hilarious
