Cheryl's Story
College
I was a music major at Point Loma College with an emphasis in vocal performance. I ended up spending the year after I graduated getting my mutltiple subject credential to teach Elementary School. I loved being a music major so I don't regret it even though I don't use it much in my professional life these days. I had a great time in college and loved going to Point Loma where I met my husband, Jim, and made a lot of lifelong friends.

I've been teaching for 17 years and still love it. Right now I'm teaching 6th grade at Stork Elementary School in Alta Loma. It's been fun having some of my classmates children in my classes over the past 8 years. I've taught Kindergarten, 1st grade, music, reading lab pull out, and 6th. I think 6th is my favorite though, because the kids are still innocent but a lot of fun. I teach with a great staff, which also makes Stork a great place to work.
