Cheryl's Story
I graduated from high school in 1956 and went to work. I met my first husband and we were married for 19 1/2 years and had 4 children. After my divorce, I married my boss, whose wife had died of a heart attack 6 months after my divorce. We dated for about a year and then married. He had one son so now I have 5 children, 10 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren-counting steps. 98, worked then for a web-developing firm for a year, then stayed home and took care of my husband until I had to put him into a nursing home. I went to work for the State of Illinois in Lottery and have been there every since. My first husband and I moved to ILL when our youngest was 2 yrs old. I now live in New Berlin, IL, which is just outside of Springfield. My second marriage lasted 30 years and was wonderful. We both were into rock hunting and even went rock hunting on our honeymoon. It has been a good life and I have been blessed!
