Life
My name is Cheryl Jacobs. My name in high school was (Thelma) Cheryl Craig. I lived in Fairview on Garren Creek Road. My husband & I reside in Alabama, 50 miles outside Birmingham. Johnny works as a printer technician traveling all over fixing people's woes and bytes. I did work for an environmental concern in Birmingham doing administrative support work. However, I am now a fulltime Mimi to my 9 (and counting!) grandchildren! I lost my late father Marion F. Craig to lung cancer on Groundhog day 94 followed in 2003 by my beloved mother, Gloria, who died peacefully in her sleep in Asheville. My brother Stephen now lives ...Expand for more
in Alabama while my brother (David) Frank is a doctor in the hills of North Carolina. Johnny was raised and educated around Montgomery, was in the Navy (he says the draft was the only lottery he ever won, but he chose which branch he would serve in!), where his specialty was Avionics, so when he left the service he ended up in computers and their various offshoots. He says he is a "computer nerd wannabee". I tinker some with computers too, but mostly I prefer to tinker in the kitchen doing trials of recipes my family sends in for a cookbook I am s-l-o-w-l-y writing and have online now, or digging around in my planting beds.
