Cheryl's Story

Life An update to my previous bio...We live back on the family farm where I was raised. Three generations of our family have grown up here. What a great place to grow up and spend your life. I am married to Gordon Rhodes. Together we raised 10 children. We have a yours, mine, ours, as well as someone elses family. I brought two sons and two daughters from my first marriage and a foster daughter into my marriage to Gordon. He brought three sons from his first marriage. Gordon and I then had a son and a daughter of our own, so we raised 10 children in our household. I went to university with five children at home which was quite a challenge, but I have no regrets. I had wanted to be a school teacher since I was in grade one, a strong influence from my beautiful grade one teacher Miss Bakki, so was finally able to fulfill my goal. t my 20th year of teaching, and I still enjoy my work. We have 22 grandchildren and I so enjoy them. Most of them live along ways away, but we have little Jessica Pearl in Lethbridge, and we get to spoil her. Life is good. We enjoy traveling to see our children and grandchildren as they live near and far. We most especially enjoy renewing old acquaintances. We also share a love for the hits of the 50's and early 60's. We have travelled to Graceland a few times and never tire of that great music. We would love to hear from you so please take the time to write us and tell us all about what you have been doing with your life for the past 40 some odd years. We saw so many of you at the reunion in 2007 and that was great though I didn't get a chance to visit with very many. It was great getting together. See you all again in 2010 at the Carmangay Homecoming.
