Life
Remember me? I didn't think so. Me, either. Just kidding. Anyway, here's just a little update on what I have been doing since 1962. I earned both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees ('66 & '72)in education from the University of Toledo (despite being traumatized by Mr. Turby and Geometry at Waite). I have been teaching in Oregon, Ohio since then. I still love those Summer vacations! I also am the owner of computerXtreme (computer sales and service) in Oregon (since 1999). I married Gene Shurtz (UT,'67) in 1968. We have 2 children---of course both are geniuses! My daughter, Cherilyn (UT,'97) was born in 1975. She is currentl...Expand for more
y a third year medical student in New Jersey (20 minutes from The Big Apple). She wants to be a surgeon. Obviously, she never had to dissect one of those disgusting yellow rats in Biology. My son, Evan, just graduated from Clay H.S.(sorry about that). He is enrolled in the UT College of Engineering as a freshman this fall. I would look forward to a class reunion in 2002. Has it really been 40 years? Nahhhh! It couldn't be! Anyway, I have only been to two class reunions and I haven't really kept in touch with anyone since high school. Of course, I look just the same...uh...sorta...but blonder. How about you? 40 years, huh? Sigh.
