Cheryl K's Story
In 1997 my job took me from Colorado to Washington state. I met my hubby in WA soon thereafter, and we ended up finding a house on a lake, so WA is where I plan to stay! I still enjoy visiting Colorado several times a year. I worked over 32 years for the FAA in the Air Traffic Control field, even though I got my degree in music education and flute performance.
I continue to enjoy performing music. I play flute/piccolo in local Seattle/Tacoma area bands, and sometimes perform music for weddings and other events. As a singer/songwriter, I released my first CD album of 11 positive songs in 2014 and am getting ready to release 5 new songs in an EP album. (You can listen on Spotify, search ...Expand for more

For something fun and different, I've combined my love of cats and love of travel with taking catsitting gigs through TrustedHousesitters.
My husband is a Program Analyst for the FAA during the week and a whitewater rafting guide on summer weekends. We enjoy lots of outdoor activities together and do a fair amount of traveling. He is a great supporter of my musical performances and my various side-business ventures. We both volunteer with the 501st Legion for community and charity events, dressed as Star Wars characters. When we're not traveling somewhere, we enjoy activities on our backyard lake, or just hanging out at home watching movies with our orange cats.
