Cheryl's Story
Well, it's a long winding road since high school. I've lived in New York for a few months right after high school, working for the Veterans Administration, and then in Chicago since 1967. I've had two husbands (still married to the second one for 38 years!) I have five children and each one of my children has two children. I've worked all my life inside and outside the home and still work everyday as an Administrative Assistant. I've work for Cook County in the Health and Hospital System for 12 years and prior to that worked in a private sector hospital for 8 years. I have worked in the retail industry, real estate, and as a private secretary. My current job is interesting because I work in Mental Health Services at the Cook County Jail. right now, they are housing 10,000 + detainees. There is always an interesting story!

mpanied on the piano? I'm teaching piano to a five-year-old right now and having fun with that! I was also in the band (The bells, and the saxophone) - those were fun times! I love to read and just got a Kindle for my birthday. I also love my dogs - a beagle/blue heeler mix, a black pug, and a bassett hound. Sheila, Julio, and Harrison. I love my yard and garden although it's getting harder to keep up! I'm not old, just arthritic!
My husband, Homer, and I like to travel. We've been to Alaska, Hawaii, the Carribean, Mexico, from East Coast to West Coast and in between.
This economic turn has cramped our lifestyle quite a bit. We're three families living in a six-bedroom house right now (us and two of our daughters and their children). It's working because we're all working to make it work!! We're really testing the "strength in numbers" theory!
Well, that's about it - there's lots more but don't want to bore you!
