Cheryl's Story

In high school, I loved Art classes with Mr. Wadley and Mr. Hayes. I still dabble with it, using my God given talent, when asked, in our school system here in White Sulphur Springs, Montana. I wish is could do morewith it, but time never seems to allow. I was quiet in school & not too involved socially. I bowled in a Junior Bowling League at the Imperial Lanes, remembering Marjorie Virostko, especially. Later, I also bowled at the Capital City Bowl and the Lanes as a young adult. I miss that. WSS doesn't have a bowling alley. :-( I have been married for 39 years, this July '11, to the same wonderful man, and have had two children, a daughter who is currently a manager of a motel and a son that is serving in the Air Force, who is making it his career. I am a proud grandmother of two very smart kids. A grandaughter who is in 1st grade that reads like a third or fourth grader and a grandson, 4-1/2 who has autisum slightly. He is a real 'Cracker Jack'. Ha. This September (2011) we will have another granddaughter, (by Marriage). Our Daughter is getting married and her fiance' has a daughter that is 12. She is a sweetheart, much like her Dad. We are very happy to have them as new additions to the family. :-) They will truely Bless our family! I have lived most of my married life right here in WSS, MT. It took a while for this little town to grow on me, but I really like it and wouldn't trade it for anything, accept to be closer to our kids. Miss them very much! But thank God for the phone, Internet, and the ICam. It helps! In WSS, everyone is friendly and when you are in need, someone is there to help out and give you support. What a wonderful community we live in! I currently work at the Dist. #8 School system and have for 26 years. I have been a No...Expand for more
on Supervisor of the Elementary kids on the play ground, Rain, Snow, Freezing, Heat, or Wind; as an aide to a special needs child, for a year, as a janitor in both the Elementry School Building and the Junior High Building and in the kitchen, helping to serve lunches for the entire school system. For several years I worked in the summer taking care of the grounds of the school which covered about 8 acres of ground. It was hard work but it didn't scare me away. I LOVED every minute of it. This year (2011), I am helping to clean up the schools to get ready for the fall rush of kids. Whew! I LOVE our yard, working in the flowerbeds, mowing and trying to keep our 13 evergreens trimmed up. My Husband and I have remodeled our old home, over the last 31 years. We still have a couple of projects we would like to do before we call it "finished". :-)> Tinkering is what we do....! A couple of years ago, I created a small patio in the corner of our yard, with a raised flower bed and a fountain. I bought a couple of fake fica trees and planted some perenials and add some annuals each year to make a little retreat for us... a 'staycation' of sorts. A nice little retreat when you want to escape the world when money is tight. :-) A get away without traveling! We use it a lot! Ha ha. Which is just fine with me. I have Jesus in my life. I believe in Him very strongly. I am proud to be a Christian. I am not ashamed to say so. I know WHO is in control of my life and have the faith to know that whatever happens, eventho I may not understand WHY or WHEN or WHERE, that it is for HIS Glory.---irrigardless (sp?) of what I think about it. Well, that's me. Just simple and for the most part, very happy and content with my life. I COULD NOT HAVE ASKED FOR ANYTHING BETTER!
