Cheryl's Story
Life sure had a funny way of working out! I worked three jobs after graduating from HS, saved money and then left for California in '79 driving solo cross country. I attended college in California and majored in Business and Computer Science. After college, I started working in Silicon Valley (San Jose, CA) at a variety of High Technology companies. I married a great guy in '82 and had two lovely daughters shortly thereafter. Both are grown now and college graduates. (My oldest is married and an elementary school teacher. My youngest is consulting with us and dating a great guy.) After many years, I eventually was promoted to VP of a large consult...Expand for more
ing firm and then ended up starting my own consulting firm. My husband and I run it together and we implement Oracle Applications to companies in Northern California. We had a horse ranch in the mountains for many years with chickens, ducks, goats, etc and recently sold that to move to a place where we can do lots of boating..and a lot less work! I try to get home (to Green Bay) 1-2 times a year - my parents and siblings still live there. If anyone is interested in catching up for breakfast, lunch or dinner - let me know and I'll work it in on one of my trips back there.
