Cheryl's Story
Life
I left school and joined the military in 1974, served 21 years with the Airforce. I retired in 1995 and moved home to St Catharines with my two children who are now 24(daughter) and 21(son) and my ex-husband. I am single now and enjoying life to the fullest. I joined the Army reserves in 1997 in St Catharines and I work there full time, collecting my pension and a paycheck. I think I have done well for myself, I have my own home, two great kids and I will be a grandmother in September. My son will be a dad. My daughter is still going to college trying to decide what her future holds. I have travelled all of Canada and some places...Expand for more
in Europe and now I am travelling once or twice a year to see other parts of the world preferrably the warmer climates in winter. I have grown alot since school, I used to be the shy, mousey kind of girl but now I am older, more outspoken and love life to the fullest.
School
My biggest crush was Jimmy Testa, Mr Dugas was the one who told me I could do what ever I put my mind to, even though he wore white sox and died his hair black. If I could do it all over again I would try not to be so shy and go after the things I wanted. But I still would have joined the Military and had my career, after all who has a pension and a paycheck.
