Cheryl's Story
Life
After graduation in 1985, I went to the Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio. I graduated in Dec. of 1989 with a BS in Elementary Education and a minor in History. I moved to Illinois to be near my family. My dad used to work at the Cumberland Steel Co. and when it closed all my immediate family moved to the Chicago area. I taught for 4 years in a small Catholic school. I then moved back to Cumb. and taught for 3 years at St. Michael's in Frostburg. y working on a Master's Degree in School Counseling. I work a second job. I have a Beagle named Chance. I went to China this past summer to teach. I love to travel, read, and spend time with friends when I have it. Both jobs keep me busy. I have a nephew and he lives in Indiana, I hate that I don't get to see him much. My dad passed away in June and my Mom moved back to Cumb. My brother, Jimmy, still lives in Chicago, he married a Chicago girl. I get to Cumberland whenever I can to visit. I'm still good friends with Robin Proud and Michelle Mallow. See you soon.
