Cheryl's Story
Life
Hey everyone =O)
Long time no see or chat! Regretfully, I don't have the gold membership to view emails and such as I want to. Checkin' this out a bit first to see if it's worth the money needed to invest further.
Anyways... I've been off finding myself over the years, going to college, getting married and divorced, unfortunately, and raising two great kids, my daughter, Amanda and my son,
Robert (see pics on my profile).
I haven't been able to see anyone for any of the reunions so far but I hope to go to one down the road.
I hope all is well with you guys. So much time has gone by. So many changes. So many realizations. I had A.D.D. for all those years and no one knew it because I wasn't hyperactive. I wasn't diagnosed until I was 28 years old. I hit the big 41 this year and I feel great! I have been told I look between the age of 25 and 32. Shocks everyone when I tell them that I'm 40 and have two kids up to the age of 22. I'm young at heart and always will be. Hoping to change the world for the better one day at a time in all that I say and do. I'm a professional photographer to date and lovin' it like no other job, other than nursing but they're on two totally different spectrums. Hope to hear from all of you. Talk to you later.
Big smiles and hugs,
Cheryl a.k.a. "CJ"
College
I went to Harper for 4 years part-time studying nursing. Unfortunately, I only made it through 42 of the 60 credit hours necessary to get my associates degree. I ...Expand for more
was run off the road by a careless driver and she bolted from the scene. I suffered 3 slipped discs in my neck between the 1st to 6th vertebrae so I had to medically withdraw from my classes. I miss nursing so much. It was a truly rewarding career. Someday, I hope to take those classes again and receive my degree after my son has left the house for the college.
Workplace
I've worked in the entertainment business and customer service industry on a lower and upper management level over the years until recently. I'm now a professional photographer as I said above. I dabble in jewelry (all kinds including antiques) and antiques in general. I love them! I love art deco and victorian style stuff. My bedroom is decorated in beautiful 1930's art deco furniture. I love to hunt for these rare and special pricelesss treasures and I've been working on turning my entire house into an antique investment and blast from the past. No more wasting my time and money buying cheap mass produced junk that falls apart and loses it's value. The detail, quality and time put into antiques was amazing. Antiques are true pieces of art. They hold and tell so many stories as well. I worked for a Lifetouch affiliated portrait studio in Vernon Hills, Illinois where I live but now I'm moving on to do freelance work. I'm up in Lake County now and have been since 1999. Wanna know anything else then just drop me a line (see my latest bulletin). Talk to you later. Keep smiling =O)
