After graduation in 1971, I moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico. What a shock it was to go from the beach to the desert! I immediately started attending Flair Modeling School and graduated from their basic program. I modeled for some of the local stores and country clubs while I attended the University of Albuquerque for the next 3-4 years. Unfortunaltely, I was in a serious car accident in my 4th year and did not graduate. After I recovered, I began to work and never went back to finish. I married for the first time in 1980 and divorced in 1985. It was the fall of 1985 that I met my second husband, Everett "Sonny" and we were together until his death in July 2009. I retired early from the Intenal Revenue Service to be able to care for Sonny at home and I have no regrets for that decision.
