Cheryl's Story
My first job was at Horne's, where I got paid $1.60 an hour to work as a cashier. What I remember most about it is how ancient those cash registers were and how difficult it was to change the register tape! It took half an hour to get the thing loaded. At Christmas...Expand for more
time, I wrapped gifts at the "Service Desk." My family loved THAT. I was always nominated to wrap the family Christmas gifts and spent waaaaaayyy too many hours doing that. To this day, I hate that job...but always end up doing it, anyway. Why break tradition???
