Cheryl's Story
Life
Finally found a place to work and live that I love. I'm still teaching at-risk teens, but this time it's with a charter school that does a ton of good. Had enough with traditional public schools; can you believe they thought I was too rebellious?? Yeah, old habits die hard. Anyway, living in Long Beach and can't imagine leaving. Although the snow in Colorado's best boarding resorts and cheap season passes continue to call my name, so I think about moving back all the time. Hell, I think about going back to England, Ireland or Costa Rica, too. Wanderlust. Still single - can't find anyone that I'll put up with or who'll put up with me for any length of time! Seriously, I'd rather not go through a divorce, so I'm waiting until I find someone truly compatible. ...Expand for more
It's working for me right now anyway. No kids other than the furry kind and, yes, I do know they're actually animals. Trust me: no funny little jackets or special beds or jeweled collars. This girl's dog and cat are as down to earth as their mom..er..owner. Most of my current friends are from FVHS. It's funny, because I always hated HS, but there's something about people you've known for 20 years that makes you feel at home. So drop me a line if you stop by.
