Cheryl's Story
I had to leave ESHS at the end of my jr. yr, but I have always felt a part of this class. I started school in El Segundo in 2nd grade, so this has always been my school, even if I had to spend my senior elsewhere. I did make many wonderful friends at Cordova High also. I had a great year there.
As far as my life after high school, I'll just say that I have 3 wonderful children. I worked for the County of Sacramento, State of California & the City of Inglewood.
I was living in Hawthorne when I divorced my 2nd husband & moved to the Anteope Valley, north of Los Angeles.. I live in Lancaster. When I moved up here I started working for LA County Dept of Public Social Services, the Welfare Office, here in Lancaster. I worked there almost 13 yrs. d disabilty retirement in 11/03 & now I am still waiting for a settlement from Workers Comp.
While living in Rancho, I married Mike Templeman. We had a daughter, Michele. Both Mike & his brother Pat have died because of a heredity disease, called Huntingston's Disease. Though Mike & I were divorced, I did see him & was so very proud of how he lived his life with this horrible disease.
Now, my life is very simple, because of physical limitations. Through FB, I have met some wonderful people here in So CA, who also suffer from Fibromyalgia & we try to get together at least once a month. Later this year, a friend & I have planned a trip to the Smokey Mtns, were other women we have met on FB & live all over the US, will come together to met face to face for the first time. I think this will be a first of it's kind for FM sufferers. Can't wait.
I have such wonderful memories of my life in El Segundo and my time living in Sacramento. Would love to hear from those who knew me.
