Cheryl's Story

Life After graduation from West High School in Phoenix, Arizona, I went to work for the State of Arizona, Workman's Comp. Fund for 3 years then for the Dept. of Public Instruction for 2 years. In 1970 I married U. S. A. F. S/Sgt Charles Macfarlane in the Mesa LDS Temple. We had two children, Eric born 4-20-71 and Cynthia born 7-26-73. In 1976 my husband retired from the Air Force and we moved to Grand Junction, Colorado. He worked for the U. S. Postal Service until 1993 when he was diagnosed with Leukemia. He passed away in June of 1993 in Omaha, NE. from complications following a bone marrow transplant. In 1995 I married Jon Wilson. His first wife passed away in January of 1993 from breast cancer. My son is retired from the Air Force and has remained in Anchorage, Alaska. He is a sales rep for Orthopedic Surgical supplies. He is married and I have three beautiful grandchildren who I don't get to see nearly often en...Expand for more
ough. My daughter is single & lives in Marietta, Georgia. She is continuing her education at Life University to become a chiropractor. I am still very close to Fran Pyle who recently moved from Aurora, Colorado to Avondale, Arizona. I retired from a market research company called Information Resources, Inc. Jon and I raised his niece, Sarah, for 7 years. We got her in 1998 after the tragic loss of her parents. She was 11. She is now a beautiful married lady with a daughter and a little boy. She lives in Queen Creek, Arizona. Jon retired from the U. S. Bureau of Reclamation January 3 of 2007 where he has worked for the past 20 years as a Civil Engineer specializing in water resources. School Grades 1 - 7 Union Elementary in New Castle, PA, Grades 8 - 9 Mohawk Jr. High, Mt. Jackson, PA Grade 10, Phoenix Union High School, Phoenix, AZ. Grades 11 - 12 West Phoenix High School, Phoenix,AZ. Classes at Phoenix College.
